melted

IMG_6171IMG_6183IMG_6178IMG_6220While much of the east coast hunkered down for Winter Storm Jonas this weekend, our 0.25″ of snow had no impact on the fashion forecast.

throw back

Most everything about this day is a throw back to Spring 2014, but it was a warm November day. And it’s a leather skirt. I just needed a dose of bright colors to help with the two weeks of rain in Georgia.

One of my least desirable talents is the ability to hide things from myself. This talent is showcased too often than I’d like to admit, and this suede and leather Zara skirt is evidence. I purchased my skirt last fall, and somehow it landed in the black hole that doubled as my closet. Our recent move forced me into a search and rescue operation that hailed this find. I’m confident this article of clothing was relieved to finally have its price tag removed and feel loved on a cool fall day.

Fringe with Benefits

Every color I love combined into one dress with fringe…I can’t even contain my excitement. And it allowed for the hot pink suede pumps to come out and play again. Do yourself a favor and visit one of my favorite boutiques, Mel & Mimi, and buy this dress. Yourself will thank you. It’s easy, and while it’s patterned, it’s so versatile you’ll find yourself reaching for it and switching up accessories often.

Yes, white jeans after Labor Day. Yes, vegan leather.

I found this top at Behind the Glass in Auburn – it’s was my favorite boutique while I was in college and it remains one of my favorite places to shop today. The laser cut vegan leather tank keeps me cool while letting me get excited about the change of seasons that in on the way. And the shoes – I should have purchased a lottery ticket the day I hit the jackpot and found The Nudistsong Sandal by Stuart Weitzman for forty bucks in a sample sale. Yes, $40 and not $400. On such days, I’m incredibly thankful to have such tiny feet!
