throw back
Most everything about this day is a throw back to Spring 2014, but it was a warm November day. And it’s a leather skirt. I just needed a dose of bright colors to help with the two weeks of rain in Georgia.

hidden objects
One of my least desirable talents is the ability to hide things from myself. This talent is showcased too often than I’d like to admit, and this suede and leather Zara skirt is evidence. I purchased my skirt last fall, and somehow it landed in the black hole that doubled as my closet. Our recent move forced me into a search and rescue operation that hailed this find. I’m confident this article of clothing was relieved to finally have its price tag removed and feel loved on a cool fall day.

geometry lesson
Adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing have never found spots on my list of favorite things, but a great pattern makes me appreciate the agonizing semesters of geometry classes.

Simple Statement
My workday calls for conservative dress, so getting it right takes extreme balance. The LBD is a staple in my closet, as are accessories in fun prints like the leopard belt here or a punch of red lipstick. I find that some of the simplest pieces, combined together can make the perfect statement of “responsible, hard worker who loves to squeeze in a bit of fun.” Besides, I am only 29 (at least for another month)!

I recently re-watched The September Issue, a documentary on Anna Wintour, VOGUE and the most awaited issue of each year – September. The power of Anna Wintour blows my mind. Considered one of the most influential women in the world, ladies around the globe rush to mail boxes, bookstores and news stands to grab each month’s issue of VOGUE to feed ourselves the latest fashion nosh. I can’t remember a day when I wasn’t hungry for the next issue, especially September. Last year, the most beautiful book was published: VOGUE The Covers. Every cover, every issue, since the beginning of VOGUE. Ah-flipping-mazing!
My Spring loves include Peonies in a Mint Julep cup, the new fabric on our vintage sofa, the red soles of my birthday Christian Louboutins and VOGUE The Covers.
